HYDRA-ELECTRIC MARKS 60TH YEAR

Hydra-Electric celebrated its 60th year as the leading manufacturer of temperature, pressure and liquid flow switches to commercial aircraft, defense programs, government projects and aerospace manufacturers around the globe. Started in 1948, Hydra-Electric developed and patented the Bellville Disc Spring, which continues today as the first choice by engineers for long-term, sustained switch reliability. Throughout the years, Hydra has also re-engineered their designs for multiple-end uses, including NASA missions, missile programs, cargo ships, and land vehicles. Known for innovative technical solutions to difficult engineering challenges, more custom Hydra-Electric switches have been specified than any other manufacturer’s products.

Hydra-Electric has maintained all of its design, engineering, testing and manufacturing in its facility in Burbank, CA, greatly enhancing their quality control, speed of development, certification and delivery. The company’s clients span the entire aerospace industry, with expanding new markets in land, sea and space applications.
