AIRBUS A350 ENGINEERS SPECIFY HYDRA-ELECTRIC

Burbank California

Meeting the rigorous demands of delivering the advanced Airbus A350 commercial airliner, key contractors have signed with Hydra-Electric to provide switches for vital aircraft systems.

Hydra-Electric Company is engineering custom-tailored switches which utilize and adapt proven technologies to meet the aircraft’s stringent durability and pressure requirements. The Airbus A350, a long-range, mid-size, wide-body family of airliners currently under development, will be the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, giving it unique properties of strength vs. weight. The aircraft is scheduled to enter into airline service in 2013.
