FAA Repair Station:

Hydra-Electric has a certified FAA Repair Station in house, and is able to repair all the products that it manufactures.  Hydra only repairs PMA approved parts, of course, and is obviously very concerned with protecting the property of its customers.

Hydra works closely with the local FAA offices in Van Nuys, California, in order to make sure that we are in touch with the latest FAA regulations involving repair and production.

The Hydra-Electric FAA Certificate Number is AC3R366L.
Here is our data description link on the FAA website:

Hydra-Electric is also certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (Part 145) for repairs.

The products from Hydra-Electric have high quality and low failure rates.
In cases of failure, Hydra is able to provide Failure Analysis Reports so that the customer fully understands any issues with its products or the customer operating system. The majority of returned products are No Fault Found (NFF) and in those cases Hydra will assist the customer in trouble shooting possible problems inherent in the customer system that may be affecting product performance.

Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) reports can be obtained from Hydra-Electric, so the customer will have an accurate idea of how many cycles our products will endure.

Military Standards

Hydra-Electric began manufacturing for the U.S. military in the 1950’s, as it became apparent to the armed forces that Hydra had patented the best technology for pressure switches, with its Negative Rate Disk Spring.

Hydra-Electric Aerospace Switches are designed to meet various specifications such as RTCA/DO-160, MIL-S-9395, MIL-S-28827, MIL-S-28788, MIL-STD-810 or MIL-STD-202. Here are the brief descriptive titles of these specs :

REACH:

Hydra-Electric is in full compliance with the recent REACH regulations from Europe.
We do not utilize or export any chemicals or substances to levels that are restricted by REACH.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals (REACH) is a European Union Regulation of 18 December 2006. REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. It is the most strict law to date regulating chemical substances and will impact industries throughout the world. REACH entered into force in June 2007, with a phased implementation over the next decade.
