Welding Lead/Technician

Responsible for all welding operations.  Assists supervisor in assigning work, instructing and training new and less experienced operators on proper procedures, processes, safety practices and housekeeping.  Prepares reports on group activities.  Performs a variety of direct work within the group as necessary.  Maintains work flow and ensures the availability of proper work instructions, drawings, materials, tools, fixtures and calibrated inspection gauges and equipment.  Sets and adjusts equipment for proper operation.  Recommends product, tooling, and other improvements.  Advises supervisor of any problems.  Recommends traveler changes and performs troubleshooting.

 

Leads a group to maintain quality output of the following:  welding equipment (a) heliarc (tig); (b) laser; (c) electron beam; and (d) spot welding.  Assists supervisor in obtaining certification of equipment and manpower and identification and records of all tooling.  Proper documentation related to welding schedules and production runs.

Annual eye exam.  Knowledge of H-E Specification

Solderer/Assembler

Leads a group in performing soldering, electrical & mechanical sub-assemblies and the final inspection of all electrical assemblies.  Assists supervision in obtaining timely certification of all solderers.  Keeps assembly flow consistent by constantly monitoring electrical requirements in all production cells.  Assists the group with bench production assemblies of electrical components where some of the group may perform light electo-mechanical assembly work of moderate to high level of complexity.

Electrical Design Engineer

General Description:

The Aerospace Electrical Engineer will support new product development of Pressure Switch and Pressure Transducer products.  The engineer will be a key contributor in adapting both standard designs, and full custom specifications to customer defined requirements.  Designs will require knowledge of electromechanical systems, material properties, Analog circuitry, Spice simulations, Software programming and use of standard test equipment.  The Candidate will be responsible for product design, documentation, transfer to production and interaction with management and customers. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design Engineering product design
  • Analog circuit design
  • Project tracking
  • Design analysis of Mechanical and Electromechanical devices including SPICE analysis
  • Formulate conceptual design of aeronautical or aerospace products or systems to meet customer requirements
  • Perform Robust Design (e.g. Design for Six Sigma and design for manufacture)
  • Component selection, design validation, and  report generation
  • Support report writing and program presentations (Customer interface)
  • Coordinate Failure analysis or problem solving activities concerned with investigating and resolving customers' reports of technical problems

·        Write reports such as FMEA, Failure analysis, design analysis, Reliability analysis, and Qualification test protocol

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred), 2 years minimum experience
  • Knowledge of Aerospace design practices (FMEA, Design of experiments, Reliability analysis, Failure analysis or fault tree)
  • Familiar with Analog circuit design, PCB design, Software
